The CETADL team had organised a Go-Karting afternoon on the 25th April. We were booked on the Racing Club's outdoor circuit with Go-Karts running up to 50 mph.
The photo below showed us fully kitted and ready to go.

Something interesting happened to the MacBook Pro. It actually runs cooler in XP than in Mac OS X!
I have also installed 3DMark06 to test whether the MacBook Pro will burn or not under full CPU load and so far the Mac haven't had a temperature related crashed.

Got my Apple MacBook Pro yesterday to replace my Toshiba Portege M200 which will be returned to CETADL next week.

Successfully installed Windows XP, Visual Studio 2005 and Microsoft Office via Bootcamp. While Apple provided the majority of the drivers for the MacBook Pro, they did not provide drivers for the built-in iSight camera, Front Row remote and right mouse button mapping on Windows. Nonetheless the computer is very usable under Mac OS X and Windows.

Blueyonder had completed the free upgrade to my home broadband. Downstream was increased to 10 Mbps from 2 Mpbs while stream was increased to 384 kbps from 256 kbps.
These upgrades are free so I don't pay extra for the upgraded speeds.

As reported a few days ago I have moved my entire websites to the new data centre. On 30th March I got an email from my former Web Host stating that they will cease all operations on 1st April.
I am not surprise with all the problems they had with the servers in the past few months. Good job that I have already moved! Otherwise you won't see me here.

Today, I have been preparing the "virgin" Windows XP images for the Wearable PC X4. Because the fact that the X4s haven't got a built-in CD-ROM, I had to "preload" the hard disk with old fashion DOS and the XP's i386 folder.
Getting the bootable DOS system on the 2.25" Hard Drive via an USB was an issue. I tried hooking the hard drive as a physical hard disk on VMWare, then using a Windows 98 boot disk and do a "SYS C:". System files were transferred but as soon as I rebooted the VM all MSDOS.SYS, IO.SYS and COMMAND.COM were no longer on the hard drive and the VM failed to boot.
At the end I ended up installing DOS on the virtual drive instead of the physical drive, Image that virtual drive using TrueImage and finally transfer the Imag ...
